Adult Cleft & Craniofacial Care
Care for craniofacial conditions can continue well beyond childhood. Dr. Chad Purnell welcomes adults with cleft lip and palate, Apert syndrome, Treacher Collins syndrome, Crouzon syndrome, hemifacial microsomia and Nager syndrome, as well as any craniofacial diagnosis to his Chicago practice.
A consultation begins with your priorities and previous care. Concerns may include jaw alignment, facial balance, cleft-related nasal differences, scars or changes after earlier operations. Dr. Purnell reviews your surgical history and discusses whether additional reconstruction, jaw surgery or nasal surgery may help meet your goals.
Adults who have never had surgery and those returning after years away from a craniofacial team are welcome. Treatment planning is individualized, with coordination across specialties when needed.
Patients travel from across the country. Before your visit, contact the office about prior operative reports, imaging and orthodontic records that may be useful. Use Get In Touch above to request an appointment.
